Boulder Coaching holds a unique niche in the world of coaching. The coaches work one-on-one to develop individualized, weekly training programs for each client. This is no cookie-cutter training program. The coaches base their recommendations on three things: your unique goals, your fitness level, and your personal schedule.
First, the Boulder Coaching team ascertains your personal goals and race objectives, whether you’re looking to compete in a sprint triathlon, a duathlon, or a series of triathlons. Next, the coaches perform tests to determine your base level of fitness, establishing your heart rate during running and cycling and a pace for swimming. Finally, the coaches take your schedule into consideration: your work and family obligations. You tell the coaches how much time you have to train, and they will create an individualized training program, just for you.
You will have to access to your unique training program on the Boulder Coaching website. The site is interactive, allowing you to document your running and cycling times, your swim pace, and your perceived effort in each discipline. The coaches are then able to monitor your
Depending on the coaching package you choose (Gold Star, Silver Star or Bronze Star), the coaches will monitor your progress, answer questions, and update your training program from week to week, making adjustments for your work schedule, your travel schedule, and unexpected events such as illness or injury.
Simon Lessing, five-time World Triathlon champion, coaches all aspects of triathlon training. Darren De Reuck, Olympic running coach, focuses on running, and Lisa Lessing, former U.S. Top-Ten Professional Triathlete, is the swimming expert. All three coaches are directly involved with each client’s personal training program, translating their specific experience to each individual client.
